This is one of the most effective and recommended workshops in the South of England. It lasts approximately 1.5hrs and costs Ł15 per session. No booking is required and it starts at 10:00hrs every Sunday at Stapeley Manor Farm, RG29 1JE.

Does your dog pull on the lead?
Does your dog not come when called?
Does your dog display unacceptable behaviour when meeting other dogs/people?

If you can answer yes to ANY of these questions, you and your dog will benefit from these classes. The sessions are held outside in ALL weathers, except in the most severe conditions, so if you're unsure, please contact us to confirm!

No Flexi-Leads

No Harnesses

No Halti

No Toileting in the training area

Please arrive at least ten minutes early for your first session, otherwise latecomers will be refused access once the class is in progress. Not suitable for dogs below the age of six months!

Puppy / Beginner Class

All methods are kind, fun, effective and highly motivational! K9 Matters will teach you to understand how dogs really think so you can achieve a deeper bond, better control and a true companion dog in the making.

Puppy Training - Ł8 per class

In this class we will show you how to teach your puppy (in greater detail than can be listed here) the following exercises:

Recall
Walking on a loose lead
Greeting - people & dogs
Basic positions
Handling & grooming techniques
Introduction to the stay

Companion Dog Class

A progression from our puppy / beginner class. When this training is completed your dog will have developed into the perfect companion. Certification is awarded only on merit!

The companion dog modules are:

Basic K9 first-aid and health
Use of equipment
Transportation
Obedience
Temperment
Grooming
The Law

Mobile Trainer

The perfect solution to assist you in achieving your training objectives. Much of the tricky training areas i.e. timing and progression is eliminated. We will exercise and train your dog so that all you need do is practise what has already been taught.

Great for dog owners that don't have the flexibility or time to attend training classes on a regular basis. Physical exercise and mental stimulation is combined to ensure that your dog does not miss out on vital training.

Its an excellent compromise for those that need residential training but perhaps can't afford it or really can't bear to have their pet away from home for too long. Cost is from Ł25.
